Tap to start
Each player/team's name is written at the top of a column on a sheet from the score pad. The subject cards are shuffled and placed in a face down pile in the middle of the table alongside the spinner.
The youngest player starts by using the spinner to select the letter for their first turn (if the arrow points to a line, then the letter to the left of the line is taken).
The player to the right acts as the host and picks up the top card from the pack. They start the timer after reading out the first subject on the card.
The player now has 30 seconds to answer as many subjects on the card as possible. The player may pass on any subjects but cannot return to them.
If the player gives a valid answer (beginning with the letter spun) then the host reads out the next subject from the card and so on.
The used card is placed to the bottom of the pack.
The youngest player now becomes the new host for the player to their left in the same way and so on.
Every player will play and host three turns each.
When the 30 seconds is up, the player will score 10 points for each correct answer given, which is written in that player's column of the score sheet for round one.
Another player can keep count of each correct answer as it is given.
The player with the highest overall score is given the £2,000 Wake Up and Win Card. The player in last place will receive the Slippers Card.
Any ties are resolved by those involved playing an additional turn and so on.
